Entrants are invited to submit a work of art on the subject of their choice based on either the Book of Kells itself, the monks who wrote and painted it, the sources of the materials, or life in 9th century Ireland. Entrants are urged to interpret their chosen theme with imagination and originality.
Painting in oils or watercolours, drawings,
tapestries, screen printing, photography,
embroidery etc will all qualify. Each entry
must be accompanied by three Book of Kells
'tokens' from jars of BOYNE VALLEY HONEY.
